Leroy B. Trobaugh lived in Delphi, Ind., most of his life and made his living as the Delphi station agent for the Monon Railroad. Today he is best remembered as a talented and prolific artist though he never considered himself a professional painter. Mr. Trobaugh painted a variety of subjects in watercolor and oil, but he is especially known for his depictions of the Indiana countryside, particularly of Carroll County. He also traveled to and painted in Brown County, Ind., the western United States, the East Coast and the Great Smoky Mountains.
